Looking back, did you write more fics than you thought you would this year, less than you thought, or about what you predicted? Less.
Where did you publish/archive your stories? : At AO3 and Tumblr.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2018? I never thought I'd fall for a rareship the way I fell for Simon/Martin from The Magnus Archives.
What's your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest? : The Rot Sets In, a Giant Slugs/Tim + Jon/Tim noncon for The Magnus Archives.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them? : I tried a big bang and while the story I produced for it was short, I did it!
My best story of this year: Don't Come Knocking, a Tim/Martin for The Magnus Archives.
Okay, NOW your most popular story : Also Don't Come Knocking.
Most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion : The Rot Sets In was superhot! Not that it didn't get any, I just would have loved to see it get a little bit more.
Story that could have been better : I have to say, Speak To Me In Riddles (a Jon/Elias for The Magnus Archives) makes me more unhappy the more I look at it. It has some good stuff though.
Most fun story : The Rot Sets In was so nasty and I loved it.
Sexiest story : The Rot Sets In. I just really loved this story, okay?
Story with single sweetest moment : Synchronized Breathing, my Modoc/Bill story for Gravithy Falls. It's dark, but sweet.
"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story : This was a relatively tame year for me, but Restoration, a Stancest fic for Gravity Falls, was pretty nasty, ha.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters : Insert any TMA story here. It's one revelation after another, ha.
Hardest story to write : Both Therapy!AU fics for The Magnus Archives.
Easiest story to write : The Fortunate was a simple piece of Billford smut for Gravity Falls and I loved writing it.
Most overdue story? : How about every single Gravity Falls story I wrote this year?
Biggest surprise : Whale Song was a sad little gen ficlet for The Magnus Archives and I still can't believe I wrote it.
Favorite Opening Line(s):
From "Reluctant Observer", a Bill/Ford(/Fiddleford) fic for Gravity Falls:
"Watch closely,” the monster says, seconds before disappearing.
Favorite Closing Line(s):
From "Whale Song", a gen ficlet about Peter Lukas and an orca for The Magnus Archives:
What he can do is help her perform the greatest trick of her career: make her disappear.
Top Scenes from Anywhere You Would Choose to Have Illustrated:
* Tim getting fucked by slugs from The Rot Sets In.
* Simon getting a blowjob from Martin in Sinking To The Bottom.
* Elias resting his head in Jon's lap in Overlook This Supposed Crime.
Most revealing story : Whale Song, since it's sort of about something that I'm very interested in.
A story I want remembered : The Rot Sets In. It's just my baby, okay?
Story I haven't yet written, but intend to: Sequel to Sinking To The Bottom, with a Peter/Martin angle this time.
Fic-writing goals for 2019:
- Finish my GF works in progress.
- Write more TMA fic.
- Try to do something for other fandoms too.
- Write more original fic.
- Try to get back into poetry.
