Hello, writer! I hope you're feeling excited about this fest and good about yourself. Here is a letter for you.

General

What can I say about my love for darkfic? Well, I think I'll save the specifics for the individual fandom requests, but to give you some kind of an idea about my tastes, I'm all about the angst, mind fuckery, desperate situations, bad guys/villains winning, suffering of my faves. I love horror and I love it when fiction freaks me out and gets under my skin. I'm more about characters, feels and the atmosphere than I'm about plot, I don't have limitations regarding narrative devices or POVs. Here's a few do wants/do not wants.

I like my Stancest high on dysfunction at times. I can see young Stans being codependent and clingy together, feeling intense shame about their feelings for each other and feeling that they aren't worthy of the other. I can see them having constant, rough hate sex between Ford's return from the portal and the Weirdmageddon, I can see Ford viewing Stan as being underneath him and treating him callously, I can see Stan being self-loathing and masochistic and open to anything that Ford has to dish out. I'm a sucker for Ford-takes-advantage-of-Stan's-amnesia scenario and would love to see fucked up takes on that.

I'm all about dark, abusive BillFord. I'd like a pre-betrayal fic in which Bill gaslights the shit out of Ford, entangling him into an abusive relationship full of mindfuckery and hilarious pain. Hell, maybe he even convinces Ford to participate in "scientific experiments" in which Ford is assaulted and maybe even impregnated. I'd like a post-betrayal, pre-portal fic in which Bill unleashes his wrath on Ford for shutting down the portal, tormenting him in various ways in order to break him. I'd like a post-show AU in which Bill has won and he fucks around with Ford in various ways, from letting him loose and hunting him down after ward to humiliating him sexually in public to forcing him to marry him.

One specific scenario I have in mind is a take on the Friends Forever! au in which Bill comes into Ford's life when Ford is still alive. Maybe instead of just messing with his mind platonically, he also starts grooming Ford to be his bride in the future and is otherwise creepy and predatory with him.

For these two, I want Bill to be out to break Mabel's spirit. This could happen either pre-Weirdmageddon, perhaps in a world where Dipper really ended up 'killing himself' after the events of Sock Opera and Bill didn't leave a paper lying around in which he confessed to being behind it, or during Weirdmageddon where either Mabel's Bubble is a different place than it was on the show or in which the rebellion against Bill fails and he ends up having Mabel in his custody. If you want to take this down the Mabill path, I won't stop you.

So, how is it like to work for Bill Cipher? Aside from his tantrum over the barrier, Bill seemed to be a benevolent boss, but that of course doesn't mean he was necessarily that. Give me a story about how the Henchmaniacs came to know Bill, who they were before and how being involved with Bill changed them. Or tell me about their adventures together, how they haunt the dreams of other living creatures or torment those they meet in person, how they got their bad reputation in the multiverse. Or give me a sad story about a Henchmaniac wishing things could be different, wishing they were something other than an extension of Bill, how it might not be so fun to be around Bill after all. If you really want to make me happy, toss in some Bill/Kryptos with a really unhappy Kryptos.

What I basically want is some creepypasta with Bill. Turn him into an otherworldly horror, have him mess around with people foolish enough to summon him, make up cautionary tales about him. Take your favorite supernatural phenomenon in the world and add a Bill spin into it. I'll eat it all up with a spoon. If you want to make me empathize or even sympathize with Bill in the story, go for it, but I like him first and most of all as a villain and don't see him as a woobie.

I've always seen Mabifica as a ship with great potential for darkness and I would like to get some for them. A specific set-up that I have in mind for them is a futurefic in which Mabel is suffering from intense guilt and trauma in general from the events of Weirdmageddon and ends up turning to Pacifica to find a way to deal with them. Their solution is fucked-up sex. I would prefer Mabel as the main sufferer, but if you want to whump Pacifica then by all means go for it! I'll consume it happily.

I love me some Buffy whump. I never had problems with identifying with her over her fate as a Slayer and I'm always open to some angst about that, how that job isolates her and how it's making her compromise her humanity. I especially loved the world-weary, depressed Buffy of S6, so any fic about her and her issues would be amazing too. Feel free to go AU with that season if you want to, but I want coming back from dead to be as hard as for her even in slightly alternate world as it was on the show. De-powerment angst would also be good. Please keep her heroic at heart though, no matter how dark things get for her.

My Faith needs are similar to my Buffy needs: I want the whump. In Faith's case, of course, there are all the additional traumas to deal with: the untrustworthy authority figures in her life, accidentally killing a man, betraying her allies, self-destructiveness, self-loathing etc. I'd like to see fic set during either S3, when all the angst and the issues are building up, or during her time in the prison where she has the time to start picking on her wounds, or post-show where she realizes that redemption is still hard and maybe there is still a lot of darkness inside her. Whump her away, but don't woobify her completely; she made the choices she did willingly in the end. Make her fuck-ups matter.

If you wish to go for Buffy/Faith with your assignment, I'm up for it.

What I like about Kazuya is that he's an unrepentant asshole. Not one that is incapable of having layers, mind you, but who is nevertheless most fun when he's being unashamedly evil. I'd like to see a fic about Kazuya's slow transformation from a normal boy into an evil overlord, set pre-T1, or about his days as the leader of the Zaibatsu during T2, or about his mature, scarred version from T4 onward. I'm up for seeing him paired with any of his henchmen and family members, but if you do Kazuya/Jun keep his evilness in mind, I don't want a redemption stories about him.

While Heihachi is like his son in the sense that he's most fun when he's unashamedly evil, but unlike Kazuya, Heihachi's more benevolent side haven't been explored by fandom that much. I'd like to read about a Heihachi who has his moments of going through his past actions and wondering if he could have done things differently, or who is haunted by those who he wronged, or who regrets how his relationship with his son turned out. Give him layers that he deserves. I'd prefer gen fic with him but I won't object to a ship fic.

I like some xeno at times and what I'd like to see here is a male dragon obsessing over a human huntress. Maybe she has killed members of his family before, maybe he has killed hers, but he is out to get her and I'd like to see him succeed in some way, whether it comes down to simply scaring the shit out of her or outright raping her. Maybe he could also end up saving her life and demand something she isn't willing to give as a reward. As long as the lines between the hunter and the hunted blur with these two, I'm okay with it.

For this scenario, I have dark gen with hurt/comfort leanings in mind. I'd like the human child in question to lead a sucky life, with either their family actively participating in the suckiness or being indifferent to it in name of making the child strong or something, and find comfort from the monster that lives in their closet. Maybe the monster has had a fucked-up life too and they end up bonding over their miseries, and planning revenge. Maybe even executing that revenge. But yeah, what I'd basically like is dark friendship fic with lots of whump.
